Today is the day the whole of the F1 world appears to have been waiting for. The traffic is backed up out of the circuit car parks all the way to the nearby motorway, the grandstands are busier than they have been all week (and they’ve been pretty full), and the fans are cheering. The reason, Fernando Alonso takes to the track for the first time in the 2010 Ferrari. Meanwhile further down the pit lane the non Spanish media are all waiting for either Jenson Button to come out in the number 1 McLaren, or for Michael Schumacher to come out in his Mercedes.
I wouldn’t want to predict anything at this stage, but I suspect that the three of them will be trading top spot on the time sheets all day.
